Chris is an American field recordist and sound designer. He was born and raised a Yooper in the rural Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Chris earned a B.A. in Sound Design from Michigan Technological University, and studied Japanese at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities in Hikone, Shiga. He interned at The Detroit Chop Shop with Ric Viers in 2012 and helped record and edit commercial sound effects libraries for BlastwaveFX.  Immediately upon graduating from Michigan Tech, he successfully managed and executed, “The Japan Sound Effects Collection”, Kickstarter campaign to fund a solo 3-month backpacking trip throughout Japan to record regional soundscapes.
